Welcome to GM Van Lines

Moving FAQ

To begin with you need a quote, you can get this by calling to get a ballpark estimate or set up an in-home estimate. After you choose GM Van Lines we will set you up with a moving coordinator who will then help you to select the best moving services for your needs.

An in-home estimate is where we send a trained moving professional to your house to estimate how much there is to move and how much it will cost to move. They will also recommend some of the different services have to offer.

This is your point of contact during the whole moving process. You need anything during the moving process just call your coordinator we are here to help! Need to add or remove items call your coordinator they will get it done. Need an update just a phone call away.

The summer months are always the busiest, May – September, so book early.

Six weeks to two months is a great starting point especially if it’s the busy season (May – September) so you don’t have to rush. This way you can get an estimate and get everything set up for your move. We also do last minute moves, just call us and we will get you set up.

A binding estimate is an estimate that has the precise cost of the move and is based on the services requested at the time of the in-home estimate.

With a non-binding estimate the cost of the move comes down to the actual weight of your shipment and the cost of the services that you have requested.
